We designed a healthcare workflow platform to help a provider manage treatment cycles, appointments, reports, and internal coordination in a more structured way.
A healthcare provider needed a better way to manage patient treatment cycles, appointments, reports, and internal coordination. Their existing workflow relied heavily on spreadsheets, phone calls, and manual follow-ups, which made it difficult for staff to track patient progress and maintain consistent communication.
To solve this, a centralized digital platform was developed to streamline patient management, treatment tracking, and appointment scheduling across the clinic.
Managing treatment workflows in healthcare environments can become complex very quickly. In this case, the clinic was dealing with several operational issues:
We designed and built a custom healthcare workflow platform that centralized patient data, appointment scheduling, and treatment cycle management.
The system provides a unified dashboard for clinic staff while also allowing patients to view their treatment progress, upcoming appointments, and reports through a mobile application.
The platform was built to support structured patient workflows and improve coordination between medical teams.
Node.js API architecture
PostgreSQL relational database
React Native
AWS (EC2, S3, RDS)
Firebase push notifications and SMS integration
The system was designed using a modular architecture so that new clinics, departments, or workflow stages could be added without major system changes.
Security and structured data management were key considerations because of the sensitive nature of healthcare information. Role-based access was implemented to ensure that only authorized staff could access patient records.
After implementation, the healthcare provider gained a much more structured workflow for managing patient treatments and appointments.
